About

395232985Therapy helps you realize your goals.

I will work with you in therapy to help you achieve your goals.

During the first few sessions, we will work together to identify how different you would like your life to be. We will discuss what feelings, emotions, and experiences you would like to change about your life.

As we work on your goals, you will start to feel the process of change happening. This change will create a greater sense of motivation, hope, and encouragement. You will have a better understanding of the process, and you will gain a stronger belief in that process.

After every therapy session, the goal is for you to experience a transformation, reducing fears, doubts, and pains and replacing them with confidence, hope, and strength.

Feel better and live joyously…

One of my goals is for you to feel better, learn something new, or experience growth in every therapy session we share. New feelings of joy, peace, satisfaction, and fulfillment will result.

As the weeks and months go by, you will experience life from a more joyful and empowered point of view. Your confidence and self-esteem will become stronger, resulting in your ability to love and believe in yourself at a higher level.

With every new therapy session, I will ask you, “What do you want to work on today?” This topic will become our focus during the therapy session (so always come prepared to our sessions with something in mind). We will try out the different therapeutic methods I offer and determine which ones you like and which ones work for you.

As we proceed, you gain the ability to help guide the therapy session by picking the topic to work on and choosing the therapeutic method to use. In essence, you will be in the driver’s seat and have the keys to the convertible (or whatever car you like) as we journey together down the road of therapeutic healing.

I will be in the passenger seat to help navigate and guide you to ensure we find plenty of healing success.

At the end of the therapy session, we will review and see how we did by asking –

How successful were we in working on the goal? What did you learn about yourself over the last 45 minutes? What did you get out of the therapy session (pros and cons)?

Hopefully, we will continue to chip away, reduce the harmful and disturbing parts of your experience, and strengthen and improve the positive aspects.

One of the many gratifying aspects of therapy is when you finally find relief from a nagging issue that you had given up hope on over months or years. You will replace the disturbing feelings with peace, comfort, and joy through the process.

About Me

Seeing others succeed is gratifying.

As a kid and an adult, I have always loved sports – participation, coaching, and watching. I enjoy the teamwork element involved in achieving success. I find the same sense of satisfaction in the counseling profession when I help people feel better and achieve their goals.

I thoroughly enjoy getting to know people while accompanying and supporting them on their journey and helping them feel better. Life is about helping one another, and in the counseling profession, there are a lot of opportunities to do this.

My faith goes hand in hand with my vocation.

In 2011, I graduated with a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Southern California Seminary.

Yes, I love Jesus, am a devout Catholic, and if you feel comfortable, we can pray and bring Our Lord into our sessions. Of course, this is purely optional.

Life outside of counseling is rewarding.

As mentioned above, I am a big sports fan. I also enjoy God’s beautiful creation in nature and love hiking, camping, sunsets, and sunrises.

I am grateful to be married to a wonderful woman for 14 years, and the Lord has blessed us with two incredible children.
